Caleb Thielbar has been electric in the minors for the Minnesota Twins this year
25-year old lefty reliever Caleb Thielbar has been electric in the minors so far this year. He has pitched in 23 games (0 starts) in A+AA-ball so far this year and he is 3-1 with 5 saves, a 1.21 ERA and a 0.72 WHIP. He has only given up 22 hits while walking 5 batters and whiffing 42 in his first 37 1/3 innings and that is pretty darn impressive. Thielbar has now pitched in 124 games (3 starts) in his first four years in the minors and he is 13-7 with 8 saves, a 2.84 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. He could get his first shot at the show with the Twins later this year, if he keeps pitching well in the minors.
