The Minnesota Twins re-sign Shairon Martis
The Twins have re-signed 25-year old righty starter/reliever Shairon Martis to a minor league deal. Martis pitched in 29 games (21 starts) in AA+AAA-ball for the Twins and Pirates last year and he was 11-6 with a 5.17 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors back in 2009 with the Nationals. Martis has pitched in 20 games (19 starts) in his first two years in the majors and he is 6-6 with a 5.53 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. Martis will likely start the 2013 season in AAA-ball for the Twins.
