The Minnesota Twins have placed Trevor Plouffe on the 7-day D.L.
The Twins have placed starting 3B Trevor Plouffe on the 7-day disabled list due to a concussion. Plouffe has played in 37 games for the Twins so far this year and he is 34 for 134 (.254 avg, .759 OPS) with 17 runs scored, 4 homers, 17 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Jamey Carroll and Eduardo Escobar will likely replace Plouffe until he’s ready to return to action. The Twins are going to miss Plouffe’s power stroke while he’s out of action.
